Immunisation and Vaccination
We recommend full immunisation for all pre-school children including MMR (measles, mumps and rubella). Child immunisation clinics are held on Tuesday Mornings between 11am and 12pm. If you cant make these times then please call the surgery to rearrange appointment.
Holiday vaccinations can be booked with the Nurse you will need to book 6 weeks in advance for full protection of vaccines.
Family Planning
Contraceptive, IUCD services are available. Please book an appointment with the nurse at reception.
Cervical Smear
All women between the age of 25 to 65 are offered a cervical smear test. An appointment can be booked with the nurse or the doctor at reception. Please inform the receptionist of the reason for the appointment.
Elderly Persons Screening
All patients over 75 years old will receive an annual examination.
Chronic Disease Management
Coronary heart disease, diabetes, Asthma, COPD.
Asthma - Patients with asthma are advised at attend for a regular annual review to optimise their treatment or more frequently to monitor the effectiveness of the treatment.
Diabetes – All diabetics can better manage their condition with the aid of regular review with the doctor or the nurse. Review intervals will vary between a few weeks to 12 months depending on the individual’s clinical need.
COPD – To monitor the effects of the treatment for those diagnosed with COPD.
